Sunday afternoon meditations starting one hour later ~ ongoing
The three-hour afternoon meditation service will take place from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. to accommodate Sunday School & Teen Group Christmas Play rehearsals. This later start time will be in effect until Sunday, December 22.
LGC Teen Group Holiday Gift Drive starts NOV 10
The Teen Group is leading their annual holiday gift drive to help provide Christmas gifts for those with very limited resources. The event is sponsored by the South Bay nonprofit group, The Family Giving Tree. The holiday gift drive starts Sunday, November 10, and ends Sunday, December 1.
Starting this Sunday, November 10, devotees can visit the Teen Group gift drive table downstairs immediately following the morning services and choose one or more gift card requests. Gift requests are for people of all ages, and range from toys to clothing, to a variety of monetary gift cards, including online donation options.

Nonperishable Items for Fundraiser ~ NOV 10
Please bring all nonperishable items for the fundraiser to Los Gatos Center by no later than this Sunday, November 10, in order to have enough time to price all items beforehand.
Craft & Food Sale Fundraiser ~ NOV 17
Los Gatos Center's first major fundraiser in five years will take place on Sunday, November 17, after the morning services at 12:00 p.m. Baked goods (cupcakes, brownies, cookies, Indian sweets), food items, craft items, clothing, handmade items, jewelry, old issues of Self-Realization Magazine, and inspirational CDs and DVDs can also be donated for this sale. Bring your friends and family members to enjoy homemade food, hot chai, henna and music!
If you would like to make a donation by check before the fundraiser takes place, there is a donation box in the foyer specifically marked for the fundraiser. Please put “LGC Fundraiser” in the memo section. For more information, please contact Sarita Bhola at (408) 420-8207 or email her at sarina1@hotmail.com. All proceeds will go toward both the LGC general fund, as well as the Los Altos Retreat Scholarships.

Harvesting Persimmons for Monastics ~ NOV 21
It’s that time of year again! We are lovingly and joyfully picking and packing persimmons for the SRF monks and nuns. The monastics love this gift very much and are appreciative of this special seasonal treat. We welcome all to come to harvest and pack the fruit; no prior experience is needed. If you’re interested, please reach out to Meenal Chaudhari for additional details at meenal18@gmail.com.
Additionally, funds are needed to rent a van for a week (approx. $700) in order to transport the persimmons. Or if someone has a minivan or cargo van (similar in size to a Dodge Voyager) they are willing to provide for one week, please contact Meenal at meenal18@gmail.com.

Thanksgiving Vegetarian Potluck Dinner ~ NOV 28
All are invited to join a Thanksgiving vegetarian potluck dinner at Los Gatos Center from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 28. Please bring a vegetarian dish that you would like to share and enter through the back door. Traditional Thanksgiving entrees, side dishes, and desserts are especially welcomed.
Monastic Visit ~ DEC 1
Bro. Sarvananda, a senior SRF monk, has graciously agreed to conduct the morning services on the Sunday following Thanksgiving, December 1. A vegetarian potluck luncheon will take place afterward.
